5 places for a unique nightcap in West London
If you are in West London for a holiday you will want to top your day of sightseeing and shopping off with a bit of food, drink, and entertainment. Bars offer an alltogether different experience from an English pub (which are also a must!), so be prepared! In the area that lies between Marble Arch and Shepherd’s Bush we’ve selected a few of the best.
Apres has an extensive cocktail offering, shiska, and a hearty appetiser list. Several areas are available to enjoy a quiet drink or to listen to the DJ’s music offerings.
A bar that offers a huge variety of entertainment from comedy to cabaret, is Ginglik. Unbelievably, Ginglik was built during the 1908 Olympic Games. It has a wide range of drink choices, along with burgers and snacks. There is a member entrance fee.
Funky decor in the Paradise is bound to get you in a party mood, and their funky evening events will keep you there. This is truly a late night place, finding favor in particular with the over 20s looking to dance the night away.
The Purple Bar lives up to its name, covered in purple and lavender drapes and upholstered furniture. Located in the Sanderson Hotel, it is a busy bar, making martinis in 10 ounce quantities. They make the original, “The Martinez,” which dates back to 1860.
Not as late night as the other bars recommended, the Salt Whiskey Bar still has much to offer. An indian menu combines with their specialty whiskey – they stock 180 kinds from all around the world.
